Comprehensive Air Conditioning Services
Dor-Mar handles the full cooling system, not just the outdoor unit. Repairs, replacements, seasonal maintenance, ductless systems and emergency service run through the same team, which means one company diagnosing, installing and standing behind the work.
Our technicians know Central Ohio permitting and local building codes, which keeps replacement projects from stalling at inspection. They are also EPA-certified to handle refrigerants, which matters more now than it used to.
Dor-Mar is proud to offer these cooling services in Central Ohio:
What the Refrigerant Phase-Down Means for Your Air Conditioner
Under the federal AIM Act, new residential air conditioners and heat pumps manufactured since January 2025 use lower global warming potential refrigerants such as R-454B, replacing the R-410A that most Central Ohio systems installed over the past two decades run on.
If your system uses R-410A, you can still have it serviced. Nothing requires you to replace it. But R-410A production is being stepped down over the next decade, and the price per pound has been climbing. That changes the repair versus replace math on an older system with a leak. A recurring charge that made sense three years ago may not now.
We will tell you which refrigerant your system uses, what a recharge costs today, and whether that spend is worth making on equipment of that age. If replacement is the better call, we quote it. If it is not, we say so.
Heating and cooling usually share the same indoor equipment and ductwork, so if you are weighing a replacement it is worth looking at your heating system at the same time. Replacing both together is normally cheaper than doing them two years apart.
